Criminal Court Records Search (Felony & Misdemeanor)

Many employers choose to search the jurisdictions where a candidate has lived, worked or studied during the past seven years. Each state is set up differently as to whether they file criminal records at the state or county level jurisdictions. We will search at the state level jurisdiction whenever possible. This is based on the addresses that surface in the SSN Trace, and we search the jurisdiction corresponding with each address (whether that is county or state). Pinkerton performs all searches real-time, retrieving only the most up to date records directly from the courthouse.

Federal Criminal Court Records Search

Searches include a review of federal records in one of the 94 specified federal judicial districts and include criminal convictions or pending charges for violations of federal law. These cases usually involve either the government, a violation of the constitution, or a controversy that crosses state lines. Some examples of violations are drug trafficking, kidnapping, and arms trafficking.

Sex Offender Registry Search - State or National

This is an instant database search. Information regarding the presence or location of offenders, who, in most cases, have been convicted of sexually-violent offenses against adults and children and certain sexual contact and other crimes against victims who are minors. State law dictates the content of the sexual offender registry, so the length of history and types of offenses reported varies by state. A national search may be performed, which is on a database that filters all states into a national database, which enables our researchers to search for offenders on a national scale.

Nationwide Criminal Database Search

This is an instant multi-jurisdictional search of various state and county records from all 50 states and includes data from courts, sexual offender registries and department of correction records. This search is a useful tool that offers broad geographic coverage, but it is best considered a preliminary search and should not replace individual county searches. Any records found for a candidate must be confirmed through a County/State Criminal search.

Fingerprinting

We offer both cards and electronic methods in obtaining fingerprints and submitting on your behalf. This service varies by geographic region. For most areas, we can facilitate on-site requests, which would consist of an on-site fee plus a fee per card, whether state and/or federal is needed. Each client will set up an account directly with their state to become registered. A certified Pinkerton representative will travel to the client's office location and collect the prints from each applicant. The client will send the cards in to be processed along with the agency fee. Pinkerton is a liaison between the client and the state agency. However, we also offer electronic fingerprinting techniques in which you can come to one of our designated locations or we have the capability to collect fingerprints within your facility for larger volumes.
