Verification and Credentialing
Credit Report
This instant search provides a detailed credit history including accounts, payment history, liabilities and public record information such as: bankruptcy, judgments, liens and collections. Also provided are current and former addresses, employers, and names as reported by financial institutions to the credit bureau. There are strict laws governing the use of credit reports, and the sensitive nature of the contents requires extreme care in the use of this report.
Department of Motor Vehicle Records
Provides the subject's driving history for a minimum of three years for the state specified. Longer histories are available in some states. The report includes current status of the license, dates and description of violations as well as suspensions or revocations incurred during the specified period of time. It is not uncommon to obtain such records on an annual basis even after the applicant is hired.
Education Verification
This service includes a verification of enrollment, attendance and/or graduation dates, and degree earned. Grade point average is included when available. The subject's date of birth and social security number is compared to the institution's records and discrepancies are noted when available.
Employment Verification
This service includes a verification of present and past employment including job titles and dates of service. Also detailed, when available, are the subject's strengths and weaknesses on the job, job duties, overall performance rating, reason for departure and eligibility for rehire. The subject's date of birth and social security number is compared to the employer's records and discrepancies are noted when available.
Military Record Verification
This service includes verification of the military branch, dates served, and type of discharge. Please note that this type of verification does have a longer turnaround time than an average verification because of the multiple steps that are involved in obtaining this type of information.
Personal Reference Verification
This service includes a succinct narrative report. During reference interviews our researchers pose open-ended questions designed to gather information pertaining to an individual's character and reputation, reliability and trustworthiness, using either given or developed references.
Professional License or Certification Verification
This service includes verification of license or certification from the appropriate state board filings. The report includes the type of license or certificate, issue number, issue date, current status of validity, and expiration date. Upon request, a more in depth search can be conducted to determine the disciplinary status of the license, which will include any discrepancies, claims, malpractice lawsuits, or if the license has been revoked. Any available record of complaint or negative action taken against the candidate would also be included. Required information: name, SSN, issuing state claimed.
Social Security Number Trace
The Social Security Number Trace is the building block of any background screening. This search traces the SSN and the files provide any alias or maiden names, addresses and employers reported under the given social security number. Also provided is the year and state of issuance of the given number. This will trace unreported addresses by the applicant, helping to identify states where the applicant may have a criminal record. The address history allows us to know what jurisdictions to search for records. It provides the client an option to search additional county, federal, and state criminal records for a given period of time. Traditionally a five or seven year period is chosen. Sourcing for this search includes traditional social security databases plus many non-traditional databases (ie: utility companies, mortgage companies, phone companies, etc.) There is a vast benefit to this approach, as the reporting is expanded significantly and social security numbers are verified. This service traces the applicant's SSN and ensures that it is validly issued to the applicant.
